Elevate your carving experience with the Jean Dubost Carving Set in natural Wenge wood. This elegant two-piece set includes a carving knife and fork, combining rustic charm with refined French craftsmanship. The rich, dark Wenge wood handles bring a sophisticated, organic beauty to the table — ideal for carving roasts, poultry, or holiday meats with precision and style.

  • This set includes one carving knife and one carving fork with genuine Wenge wood handles.
  • Wenge wood, sourced from Central Africa, is a dense, durable hardwood prized for its deep chocolate-brown color and fine, natural grain. Its exceptional strength and resistance to wear make it ideal for long-lasting cutlery handles.
  • The precision stainless steel sharpened blades ensure effortless slicing and exceptional control.
  • Each piece undergoes 25 meticulous production stages before being stamped, polished, and packaged, ensuring superior quality and craftsmanship.
  • Handcrafted in France, each set includes a certificate of authenticity, guaranteeing genuine Laguiole tradition.
  • Each knife carries the iconic bee emblem, originally part of Napoleon Bonaparte’s imperial seal.
  • Not dishwasher safe — hand wash only to preserve the natural wood and finish.

Care Instructions: To preserve the natural beauty of the Wenge wood handles, wash gently by hand under warm running water and dry immediately with a soft cloth. Avoid dishwashers or prolonged soaking to protect the wood’s texture and finish. With proper care, your carving set will maintain its beauty and functionality for years to come.

For over 200 years, the Laguiole knife has been a symbol of French craftsmanship. Jean Dubost’s family, inspired by the traditional peasant tool, has been crafting artisan blades since 1920. The blade, made of high-grade stainless steel, is stamped, ground, and polished through over 25 manual production stages. Recently, the Laguiole mark has expanded to include flatware, wine waiters, and cutlery crafted with the same precision and artistry. Trusted in kitchens and dining rooms throughout France, the Dubost family is proud to share the Laguiole tradition with the world.
